Jonathan Barron

I currently work in retail sales as a Senior Advisor leading a team and assisting with sales. My passions are music and film as I have been surround by both of these my entire life. I have a B.F.A in Media Arts from York University that has allowed me to work on podcasts, short films and work with some professionals in the film industry. 

I look to further my career in the entertainment world.

I have worked as a Deli Clerk, Team Lead at Cineplex and now a Senior Sales Advisor at Best Buy Canada. I have learned about how to handle difficult situations whether it be with a client or with a team member. The client experience is always in the front of my mind. Through working at Best Buy, I have been able to dive deep into the sales world and learn about variables that impact the business, allowing me to make proper business decisions. I have climbed the ladder at Best Buy by going from part-time to Senior Sales Advisor within a matter of a year. 

I received a degree in Media Arts from York University in 2021.This allowed my to work with Canadian director Peter Lynch, Producer Nick McKinney and Producer Elizabeth Yake, on one of their projects. The experience I gained was working within a creative team and on a variety of mixed media projects, such as, podcasts, short films, audio based, and many digital imagery pieces.
