Joshua Barbosa

A Computer Science graduate with a creative mind and an eye for detail, who does not settle for less and is always willing to expand his horizons. Has cultivated experiences from both art and business alongside his technological focus to gain an interdisciplinary perspective. Most recently I am completing a Master of Management degree, understanding both technical and business concepts in the workplace.

I've gained various experience in software development, design, project management, and testing through UBC courses, co-op internships, and self learning. In my spare time I like to pursue creative pursuits such as drawing and writing, as well as participating in my community alongside my family in the form of volunteering for choir.

Co-op Software Development Engineer in Test, Global Relay Communications, Sep 2021 – Apr 2022 

• Wrote automated scripts to interact with client website’s APIs and collect data, manually verifying that it was correctly archived. 
• Actively engaged in sprint meetings with the team, providing documentation and test planning for weekly product releases. 
• Selected by supervisor to train and onboard a recent junior hire.
