Volunteer Cashier / Merchandiser - St Josephs Health Care - Parkwood Hospital - Mental Health Care Building - Waterman Variety

Cashier / Merchandiser
- Serve patients, staff, and visitors, using cash or cards via our point-of-sale machine, ensuring speed, friendly service and accuracy at all times
- Daily duties include opening the store, counting the float, and closing off at the end of the day which includes counting the cash in your till, reporting and bank deposits
- I am also responsible for the merchandise in the store - we sell beverages, confectionary/food hygiene items as well as some stationery items
- We deal with five suppliers and I am responsible for placing all of the orders
- I keep on top of what we have in stock, what needs to be ordered, and how much to order depending on previous sales
- I receive the orders and ensure stock is rotated to ensure the freshness of products
- I also do the pricing of merchandise
- Responsible for placement and organization of merchandise
- Train new recruits
