KATIE SLOAN

I have spent my entire career in the hospitality industry, focusing on the needs of clients, the last 20 years as a meeting and event planner with groups ranging from small to large including regional/national sales meetings and VIP events across Canada, the United States and internationally.  With focus on group guestroom blocks and booking correct event space.

I have  been in direct contact with my client in executing their program from beginning to end, and  have also worked with third party vendors ranging from audio visual to transportation (staying within budget).  My strengths are site selection and contract negotiation and ensuring that the customer is 100% satisfied with the results.  

Amongst my assets that I would contribute to this position are exceptional organizational skills, working well under pressure and thriving in a fast paced environment. I am client-focused, personable, creative, dedicated and have high energy.  As well as attention to detail and enjoy being part of a team, experience working independently, with efficient multi-tasking skills, passionate and an experienced eye for detail.  In addition, I am a very quick learner.
