I work as a medical receptionist for a family practice, an asthma clinic as well as an after hours clinic. I have worked in this field for 15 years and love what I'm doing, however, my employer will be retiring within a year or so. Previously I worked with the Canadian Blood Services in the plasma pheresis program along side of Dr. Tonning and Dr. Dolan. I am a positive, honest, reliable successful and loyal individual.  It would truly be an honor to join your team as this is my passion. 

Schedule and arrange patient appointments, blood work, x-rays, mammograms, ultrasounds, CT scans, extra mural care, specialists. 

Operate multi-line phone system, check voice mail, return calls and direct to appropriate personnel. 

Carry out daily tasks by professionally communicating with physicians, nursing staff, technicians and medical assistants. 

Process billing/payments to verify accuracy of patient Medicare and Insurance information. 

Update, file and request patient's medical charts/records. 

Retrieve faxes and upload patient charts to assist clinical staff. 

Order and maintain clinical and office supplies. 

Receive, sort and distribute all incoming and outcoming mail.

Train new staff on office procedures, insurance processes and medical technology. 

Maintain a safe hygienic office environment.
