Experience

I am a nursing student entering my third year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program at Toronto Metropolitan University. With over 300 hours of clinical experience across various healthcare settings, I have developed a strong foundation in patient care, documentation, and teamwork. My clinical placements include:

  • Toronto Rehab EW Bickle Centre (Complex Continuing Care & Dialysis Unit): Administered medications, performed tracheostomy and dialysis care, assisted with activities of daily living, and maintained aseptic protocols.
  • Scarborough Health Network Centenary Hospital (Medical Surgical Unit): Delivered postoperative care, conducted patient assessments, administered medications, and ensured infection control.
  • Baycrest Hospital (Rehabilitation Unit): Provided specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, supported activities of daily living, and documented assessments using the Meditech system.

Additionally, I possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, am proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems (EPIC and Meditech), and am fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. My certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and specialized training in dementia care. These experiences have prepared me to contribute effectively to diverse healthcare teams and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
