Dear Sir/Madame,

I am a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario since June 2022. Presently, I am employed as an Infusion and Triage Nurse at the Credit Valley Rheumatology in Mississauga since 2018.  My current role is in a infusion clinic setting, this has further enabled me to be equipped with strong knowledge based practice, professional dependability, proficiency and ethics. My expertise and daily routine tasks includes medication preparation and reconstitution, IV insertion, administration of IV drugs through peripheral veins and central venous access, medication administration through oral, subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular route; triage, telephone assessment, patient scheduling, physical assessment, documentation through electronic medical record, obtaining patient’s history of illness; recognizing, reporting and managing deviation in health status, wound care, provides teaching regarding self-administration of injections, and communication with health coordinators from various patient support programs.

I have worked with Halton Region as a Part-time Immunizer to their COVID-19 vaccine clinics from March 2021 to June 2022.

I am also a registered nurse in the Philippines. I have obtained training and gained important nursing skills while working in hospitals and acute care health settings for more than 10 years in the Philippines. 

I have recently obtained my certification for Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life support Provider. Also, I am planning to be certified as a Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider.

I believe I possess a foundation of broad knowledge, understanding and well-rounded skills. My job experience allowed me to strengthen my leadership, decision making, and analytical skills to carry out the responsibilities imperative for a task given on hand.

I am an internationally educated nurse. I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Nursing in the Philippines in 2007. Also, in the same year  I passed the Nursing Licensure exam in the Philippines. In 2015, I migrated in Canada and eventually acquiring my nursing license in 2018. I completed a physical assessment course at Humber College in Brampton Canada  from Oct to Dec 2018. Through the years, I also did online courses to continuously update my nursing knowledge and skills (annual BLS update, Infection Control, IV and medication Trainings). Recently, I had my  Basic life support and Advanced Cardiac life support certifications.
