About Linda Guma:

I am a lawyer at Marciano Beckenstein LLP practicing mainly in the areas of wills/estates law and corporate/tax law. I advise clients on the preparation of new Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts. I am passionate about helping clients plan for their future and am always ready to respond to any client inquiries and concerns. Throughout the estate planning process, I take particular interest in assisting clients protect their specific financial and family interests, with attention to minimizing income tax and estate administration tax. I also assist clients undergoing tax audits and appeals, and with corporate reorganizations.

Prior to joining Marciano Beckenstein LLP, I completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Leicester in the UK with First Class Honours and a Global Professional Master of Laws at the University of Toronto. While pursuing my Bachelor of Laws, I was an Editor for the Leicester Student Law Review (a publication of legal research essays by students) and actively involved in pro bono work, including as a Legal Advisor at the Legal Advice Clinic at the University of Leicester, for which my partner and I were awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Best Advising Pair, in recognition of our exceptional legal assistance to faculty and students on housing law, employment law, contractual disputes, and wills and probate.

Between 2012 and 2016, I worked as a Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario, in commercial lines, at Masters Insurance Limited, while completing my Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.

While working as Editor for multiple publications and co-hosting a radio show, I completed my Master of Arts in International Multimedia Journalism at the University of Newcastle in the United Kingdom. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in Psychology and Communications from McGill University.

I have had an international upbringing, having lived in six different countries. I am fluent in English and Italian, and can speak in French at a conversational level.
