Customer Service / Support
Services offered
My resume does not formally introduce my experience working in the public sector. I possess valued years of working in the hospitality/customer service industry. I was a guest service agent for the Best Western hotel chain for 11 years and a dinner theater hotel for 4 years which has made a significant impact in my alliance with the service empire. It is therefore I am grateful to have had the opportunity to venture further into the realm of customer care.
I have conducted market and retail demonstrations for Superstore, WalMart, and Safeway. Simultaneously, I was employed by Dominion Sports Services (Rexall Place) as an event cashier, an experience which I cherish immensely. Subsequent to these roles, I worked as a merchandiser for Pareto Inc. (Loblaws Pharmacy) which was a brilliant success. Pareto responsibilities were to collect knowledge of pharmacy products pertaining to price and content; know the store floor plan; greet customers; assist to locate items for purchase; answer inquiries; direct customers for expert advice to pharmacy personnel for medical opinions; compile and create reports and submit them online for processing.
Detailed electronic reporting was mandatory for all events in order to convey vital and pertinent information to all stakeholders and investors involved.
Continued exposure consisted of working for EXPO large events including the opulent Bridal Show as well as Uncle Ben’s & Quaker showcases for the Home and Garden Shows. I have also successfully completed the RIVO Keurig coffee campaign which brought new life to an old tradition. Moving forward, I was contracted to public host Match.com galas for gatherings of single people seeking enjoyment and laughter, men and women alike brandishing fresh new faces with fresh new confidence. If not just to have an excellent time, they sometimes found their ultimate match in the process. Furthermore, I have executed contracts with Cavalia (Odyesseo), the world’s largest equestrian theatrical show as a customer service associate for the VIP Suites followed by a customer care associate for the bigtop show, Cirque des Soleil. I presently act as an event specialist for brand companies being Mosaic, Brand Momentum and Embr on a casual basis. Last month I co-hosted an alumni reunion at the Fairmont Hotel for dynamic members of the University of Toronto. Today I am an Event Security Professional for Edmonton EXPO Centre, Edmonton Community Centre and Impact Security.
Notably recognized by my peers, I represented province-wide WalMart Super Centers as an open house meet & greet associate, giving away door prizes, introducing new food experiences and welcoming thousands of enthusiastic attendees with live entertainment. I was interviewed and appeared in local newspapers in support of the celebrated grand openings.
All of these events have been highly successful due to exceptional teamwork and talent for people interaction. I am proudly people-oriented and garner much personal achievement from interacting with the public. The feedback I receive is extremely rewarding and it is my endeavor to continue with my reign of manifesting that magical smile of genuine satisfaction. It truly humbles me.
All my Certifications in Food Safety, ProServe and ProTect are currently up-to-date. I have also added Red Cross First Aid & CPR and Department of Justice Security Professional & Investigator Licence.
Thank you, Lorraine Sockman.
