Biomedical Technician co-op (05/2022 - 08/2022)

• Consulted technical manuals to learn the parts, functions, operations, and maintenance procedures of medical devices to allow for effective troubleshooting 

• Performed routine maintenance and repaired medical devices, including IV pumps, vitals monitors, ECG machines, patient lifts, incubators, AEDs, etc., resulting in a safe and streamlined work environment

 • Developed and applied soldering skills to repair sensors for sleep lab diagnostics and fetal heart monitors, ensuring adequate supply of such integral devices

 • Aided large-scale updates of technologies for entire units, resulting in a smooth transition that allowed a continuity of patient care amongst technical disruptions

 • Developed understanding of inner workings and sterilization procedures to better cater to the needs of the hospital

Warehouse Order Picker (05/2021-08/2021)

• Used an RF scanner to quickly and accurately pick orders, ensuring that shipping deadlines were met 

• Loaded trucks in a logical order to ensure that the products arrived safely and could be unloaded easily 

• Maintained cleanliness of warehouse and yard to ensure a safe and organized workplace

Lifeguard and Swim Instructor (09/2018 - 08/2020)

• Remained attentive and alert to the activity and condition of all patrons in the pool or on the deck to ensure their safety 

• Prepared lesson plans and used constructive communication to ensure all criteria of the curriculum could be met, resulting in well-rounded lessons where students could develop swimming techniques, endurance, strength, and lifesaving skills 

• Performed maintenance, including opening and closing the pool, mopping the deck, and monitoring pool chemical levels to ensure an organized, hygienic, and safe environment
