As a passionate Budtender, I was dedicated to continuously expanding my knowledge of cannabis and the products we offered. I loved meeting with brand representatives to stay updated on new products and upcoming releases, allowing me to provide well-informed recommendations to customers. I frequently tried different strains and products to offer personal insights and, for those I hadn’t tried, I engaged with coworkers and listened to customer feedback to stay informed. My favorite part of the role was interacting with customers, creating a welcoming environment where they felt comfortable asking cannabis-related questions, regardless of their experience level. I genuinely enjoyed learning about the industry, from cultivation methods and trimming techniques to strain genetics, enhancing my ability to educate and connect with customers.

As a content creator, I stay up to date on trends and continuously analyze key metrics such as views, likes, shares, and comments to understand my target audience and optimize my content accordingly. I personally handle every aspect of content creation. Using the analytics I brainstorm engaging ideas, film, and edit high-quality videos that relate to my audiences. I refine my content to ensure accuracy and utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to enhance visibility. Beyond content production, I actively engage with my audience in the comments, fostering a safe and welcoming space while moderating for any offensive language or bullying.

In my most recent position as a key member of the sales associate team at SoftMoc I assisted with store upkeep through tasks like cleaning and stocking, and I brought a bright and welcoming energy to the store while making the customers feel comfortable and valued. I would actively listen to their needs, such as considerations for a previous or current injury when looking for a shoe. I helped them find the best footwear for their lifestyle. My goal was to provide knowledgeable recommendations and a positive shopping experience for every customer.

My enthusiasm lies in a passion for connecting with my customers and delivering the best service possible. Effectively managing my time and quick problem-solving skills allow me to pay close attention to detail when on the job. I graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Multimedia, and more recently I received a certificate at Mohawk College for Social Media Marketing in 2022.
