I am a passionate and dynamic leader adept at driving strategic and transformative change. With deep, direct experience building out HR and HSE programs, policies and teams, I have a demonstrated track record of achieving significant and sustainable results through a collaborative, hands-on, and results-oriented approach across both the public and private sectors.

A highly effective communicator, I am a consensus builder and influencer who works diligently to understand the business and its people to better inform organizational and program design and decision-making to help drive employee engagement and accountability. 

Central to my beliefs and approach is a passion for creating and sustaining a positive, productive, and safe workplace environment and culture as experience shows this drives employee engagement, performance, and retention, allowing them to thrive professionally while delivering exceptional results.

As comfortable on the shop floor as I am in the boardroom, I connect and work well with all levels of management and employees by being authentic and open in my desire to create win-win scenarios that lead to organizational success and profitability. 

After years of strategic planning and program leadership at the WSIB, in 2011 I joined Bird Construction to help build out and lead their national health and safety division, working across the country to recruit, develop and train a top performing team. Based on my success in this area I similarly assumed responsibility for the human resource team and program and led a significant transformation of both, including our being nominated for HR Team of the Year in 2019. 

In 2021 I joined Coldbox Builders, a smaller, scaling construction company to lead the design and build-out of their HR programs and team. In 2 ½ years we have successfully implemented programs and policies across the entire employee lifecycle and recruited a diverse and  talented young team, laying the foundation for sustainable growth and success. 

In 2018 I completed my Strategic Human Resource Leadership (SHRL) certification from Cornell University.
