Megan Heryford

I graduated from Bev Facey Community High School with a 91% average in core classes and perfect scores in option classes, including three AP courses. My experience includes working as a Production Assistant, working as Front of House at the Sherwood Park Trade Fair and FAVA, volunteering at Festival Place Theatre, and providing house and pet sitting services. These roles have honed my skills in teamwork, customer service, technical tasks, and leadership. My academic achievements, strong work ethic, and proficiency in computer skills, graphic design, and video editing demonstrate my dedication and adaptability.

Production Assistant:

(April - May 2024)

Worked as a Production Assistant on a reality adventure TV show. Assisted in the coordination of daily production activities, supported the crew and talent, and ensured efficient workflow on set.

Crew Member - Theatre:

(September 2022 - present)

Volunteered with the technical theatre crew at Sherwood Park’s local theatre -  have honed various skills such as team work, cleaning, following instructions, building (with tools/equipment), and moving/organizing heavy equipment, etc. 

Front of House - Trade Fair:

Worked as Front of House for the Sherwood Park Trade Fair. Collected and handled money, distributed pamphlets, and helped customers with questions and guidance.  

Donation Collector - FAVA:

Volunteered with FAVA as donation collector and front of house - handled money and purchases, and greeted customers.

House and Pet Sitting:

Watched over houses when owners were away (often for months at a time), ensuring security and well-being of the property. Performed tasks such as shovelling snow, watering plants (indoor and outdoor), feeding and taking care of pets, and overseeing general property upkeep. 

Babysitting:

Babysat for children of various ages, from roughly 5 to 13. Honed skills such as leadership, quick-thinking, ability to work under pressure, and problem solving.
