About Mehreen Fatima:

I am a graduate in statistics, have worked as physician’s assistant at a well-known hospital in Mississauga ON and have worked successfully in Telemedicine during the pandemic. This demonstrates my keen ability of listening, taking notes fast while on call, be able to understand people’s needs and refer them to appropriate services. My work required trouble shooting and resolving patient issues on the spot. It also required scheduling and booking and changing appointments. 

I am tech savvy, able to quickly learn any software, able to apply sales skills as selling medical services is almost comparable. I was always able to convince patients for investigations and procedures they most needed for continuity of care. This does not mean I compromise on people’s autonomy or ethical values.

I have excellent organizational skills, above average oral communication skills, basic Knowledge of MS Office suite & Windows OS and am reliable and punctual. I have a background in healthcare and understand the value of empathy, responsiveness, patience and conscientiousness. No to mention I am a people’s person and team player when needed. 

I am confident I bring value to this position and will learn a great deal in return.

  • Answered phone and assisted patients with initial inquiries. scheduling, appointments, procedure bookings, instructions from doctors.
  • Handled incoming calls for a busy specialist practice, provided detailed information on symptoms and investigations to patients, make appropriate recommendations based on patients' requirements.
  • Entered accurate and complete patient information into EMR system, processed appointments and tests within time frames.
  • Performed data entry for online patients, prepared consult notes while taking telemedicine based online histories and enquiries.
  • Established trusting relationship with patients, for new and follow up appointments.
  • Collaborated with medical colleagues and staff physicians to offer clinical care management, patient education and clinical and telemedicine services.
