Melanie Leitch

I've always had a passion for education and making a positive impact on students lives. As I struggled in  high school myself.  I've had the opportunity to work with diverse communities and I'm particularly enthusiastic about working with the aboriginal community . 

I'm currently pursuing my dream job of being an education Assistant, and i'm thrilled about the possibility of making a difference in the lives of students. I have just completed and graduated a 10 month Education Assistant Program

In addition to my experience as an Education Assistant, I also have a background in the culinary industry. I actually worked at Safeway for 10 years where I had the opportunity to work with food. I was responsible for tasks like packaging and frying delicious doughnuts as well as being a breakfast/grill cook at Whitespot. These roles taught me how to multitask effectively and work efficiently in fast-paced environments.  

I have recently graduated from a 10 month Education Assistant Program with a 8 week practicum at ESR Elementary School. I supported 1 on 1 and with groups of students, data collected, outside supervision.
