About Michael nearing:

Artist and illustrator living in Toronto, Ontario. 3 years experience working on contract doing illustration; designing brochures, newsletters, and creating spot illustrations. You can tell I love talking to other people and building connections as soon as you meet me. I am passionate about making artwork, and I would love to work as part of a team in creating things. You have a need for eye-catching, unique visuals from someone who is also able to work well with others; I am here to solve that problem.

Experience

3 years working with a The Halifax Public Gardens, a national historical site in Halifax, Nova Scotia (2020-2023). Created a range of illustrations including illustrations for brochures, newsletters, signage, children’s activities and various spot illustrations. Additionally; tasked with graphic design of brochures, signage and newsletters.

Education

4 year Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts from The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, with minors in Drawing, Illustration and Art History.
