I am Milad Khaki, a seasoned Biomedical Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer with a deep passion for utilizing technology to unlock the hidden potential in data. My experience in the field, from roles at the Robarts Research Institute and CCOM Satellite Systems, has equipped me with a unique blend of skills spanning ETL processes, machine learning algorithms, and software engineering. A relentless learner, I continually adapt to emerging technologies, expanding my expertise from Python and TensorFlow to SQL and beyond. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a proven ability to streamline operations, enhance accuracy, and boost productivity in high-pressure environments. Throughout my professional journey, I have become a proficient Biomedical Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer with comprehensive experience in various roles across academic, clinical, and industrial domains. I have honed my ETL processes, machine learning, and software engineering skills through hands-on roles at esteemed organizations such as Robarts Research Institute and CCOM Satellite Systems. My key achievements include designing and implementing machine learning-based classification systems, managing in-house research studies, developing practical data processing algorithms, and training junior biostatisticians. As a part-time Data Scientist at CCOM Satellite Systems, I've demonstrated competence in analyzing biomedical data, building predictive models, and establishing data quality control processes. Also, my experience as a course instructor at Western University underscores my ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. I have successfully managed all stages of the software life cycle during my Ph.D. Project at the University of Waterloo, I am well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of a multifaceted role in data science and machine learning.

I am academically well-grounded in the field of computer science and engineering, with a focus on data-driven disciplines. I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, during which I embarked on an industrial project involving the Cities of Niagara Falls, London, and Toronto, that honed my practical knowledge and understanding of real-world data applications. Before that, I earned an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, where I refined my knowledge of computer systems and their myriad applications. Additionally, my academic journey initiated with an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Tehran (Amirkabir) University and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Khaje-Nasiral’din Toosi University of Technology. These experiences have laid a robust foundation for my machine learning and data science expertise, enabling me to excel in my professional roles.
