Milan Soragna
Technology / Internet
About Milan Soragna:
I have a passion for everything tech - from the physical hardware to the software side. Working as a back-end developer or system administration gives me the best of both worlds, and low-level systems will catch my interest.
I strive to learn more everyday, and always get involved with new projects, technologies, and teams to evolve and keep up-to-date with the industry.
Experience
I am just starting my professional experience, and am still in the process of learning the ropes through university and practical experiences in the form of internships or part-time work.
My most recent internship at CERN (Switzerland)to provide a complete overhaul of an existing application (30 years old!) for remote reset of distant machines, integrating a CLI tool and a REST-accessible server protected by RBAC has brought me a lot of knowledge in low-level network protocols, handling systems of various configurations, and communication with teams throughout the organization.
I am currently involved with Salad Technologies for remote work as a Community Manager, which has taught me how to manage a team, talk professionally and understanding what the community wants. It is also a great way for me to produce condensed information as to the state of a product.
In parallel to this, I am working as a part-time retail sales associate for the H&M Group, which has required great communication with a team of nearly 20 people and autonomy.
Education
I am completing 2 degrees in parallel at the moment, one at the IUT2 Grenoble (France, Isère) and the other at UQAC (Canada, Québec), both revolving around general Computer Science with an accent on cybersecurity, system and network administration.
