Experience
My name is Mo Faizalla. I hold a principal’s qualifications certificate, a master’s degree in Adult Educational and a dual bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Education.
I have 27 years of experience in the field of education and my experience and qualifications include teaching, educational management and leadership, educational consulting, curriculum design & development, student academic advising, and project management. I have also been involved in forming partnerships with local and international educational institutions, providing guidance and teamwork.
In my most recent role as the principal of Plymouth Canadian Academy, my assignments include setting the school’s directions, building productive relationships and developing people, improving the instructional program, developing the academy to support desired practices, securing the academy’s accountability, and promoting equity, anti-oppressive leadership practices within the school.
Therefore, I’m responsible for teacher training PD sessions, teachers’ binder reviews, forming the academy’s general policy and procedures handbook, recruiting, and retaining teachers and admin staff, and passing the school through the ministry’s annual inspection.
I've also developed the Mentors program for new faculty and students which facilitated the adaptation process for all participants. In addition, I'm using my active LinkedIn account with more than 11000 professional connections in recruiting new staff and promoting the academy’s programs and events. However, I believe that my most outstanding skill is that I can empower my staff to learn and grow while ensuring that all learners feel safe, welcomed, and appreciated.
