About Mohlil Imran:
As a passionate and driven youth researcher with the SHARE project advocating for youths' sexual and reproductive health and education, I am excited to pursue an internship in the medical and clinical research field. Along with my proven track record of community involvement, I have also been a founder of the Muslim Student Association, advocating for religious and cultural diversity on campus. As an advocate for women's rights and education, I have been a part of the Period Club, promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and access to menstrual products for women in need.
With experience as a pharmacy assistant and Personal Disaster Assistant Volunteer for the Canadian Red Cross, I have developed a strong foundation in healthcare and emergency response. As a former Student Council President, I have honed my leadership and communication skills, and am committed to making a positive impact in the world. I am excited to bring my diverse skillset and passion for research to a dynamic and innovative team, and to contribute to meaningful advancements in the healthcare field.

Engaged in great topics regarding the effects of Covid-19 on the sexual and reproductive rights of women in Canada. Recognizing the problems and having an open-ended discussion to help the community in need. Interviewing participants, transcribing scripts, coding for similar theme, developing infographics and PowerPoint regarding the results and discussions, presenting our results and policy recommendations to physicians and researchers at Sick kids, chosen to present at a conference in Chicago for adolescent’s health and medicine. Developing excellent communication and research skills through this position.
Youth-Anti Racism Committee, Youth Researcher June 2021-June 2022
Working with mentors and staff creating to interview diverse minorities on their experiences with racism and creating a video that shows how marginalized deal with racism and discrimination in their day-to-day life and how to overcome that. Developed leadership, interviewing and research skills.
