I am a Bachelor of Communications graduate helping business and organizations effectively utilize online communication and social media platforms. I won the President's Award at Capilano University for my thesis project on the Trans Mountain Pipeline Project and First Nation's land claims. I manage North Shore Alliance's social media and guide our communication's strategy. I am currently looking for a full-time communications position, so if you have such a position to fill, send me a message!

Social Media Manager (>1 year)

• Provides guidance and direction to the communications team for our social media platforms.
• Create, plan and execute communications tactics for our social media platforms in collaboration with the communications team. 
• Analyze and evaluate the performance of our social media presence.
• Present social media analytics in a clear, easy-to-follow format and recommend next steps.
• Develop, create and publish video, photographic, graphic, and written content for social media posts in collaboration with the communications team.
• Curate captivating pictures and videos taken by other communications members for social media, website, and email.
• Upload social media posts to social media platforms in accordance with media calendar.
• Coordinate with digital creators in content creation.
• Respond to social media messages and comments in a timely manner.
• Research current trends in social media.
• Stay up to date on best practices for digital communication.
• Maintain the voice and style of North Shore Alliance Church in all written content.
• Provide website support when needed.
• Write and edit internal communications documents.

Education

Bachelor of Communication Studies Degree (2014-2019)

  • Wrote and edited internal and external communications documents (press releases, newsletters, brochures, memos, etc.).
  • Collaborated with students on assignments such as project management, research papers, presentations etc. 
  • Spokesperson for mock interviews and presentations.
  • Performed interviews and wrote articles for journalism class.
  • Extensively researched for an abundance of papers.
  • Wrote clearly and concisely in all written assignments.
  • Given President’s Award for thesis paper.
