About Neelam Ramen:

Being currently an Administrative Assistant is not exactly what you think the role was previously known for like filing or printing papers. I do much more than that. 

I have more than ten years' experience in the back office operations that ensure the clients’ expectations are met within deadlines set. I have proven expertise in leadership, staff supervision, business administration, performance management and supervisory reporting. My experience in interacting with management on the platform has made me knowledgeable about the business requirements and constraints of several of our customers and therefore ensuring that our services are delivered at the optimal level.

My particular strengths are my bilingual communications skills (English and French), strong system and software skills such as Microsoft Office suite, Concur, weTransfer, ON24, Zoom, AdobeConnect, SurveyMonkey, reliability and task execution.

I excel in finding inefficiencies and improving work systems and processes with the aim of improving reporting and quality of work.

With my certification in ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, I approach information with a view of questioning the why of actual controls and how they could be improved to help management secure information efficiently. I have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and have excelled in environment where the daily activities are often unpredictable and varied.

One of my colleagues always says, I am the glue of the department. If you need something or want something to be done, you come to me and everyone knows that they can count on me.

Fortunately for me, I love staying organized and making everyone’s work life easier. It brings me a genuine joy to know that I can take the burden off of my colleagues’ shoulders or enhance the workload but I also understand the important of standing my grounds and holding my own balance without being exploited unfairly.

I do not appreciate pushy people. If you are nice and kind, I will go out of my way to help you. I love meeting people everyday and know them and what they do. My co-workers are like my family. We spend nearly one-third of our day with them everyday. For me, it is important to treat each other with respect. 

Outside work, I dedicate my life to my family (my great husband and our lovely kiddos). Our daily life is a roller-coaster and we love it although it can be challenging, especially when we are being the first generation here to ensure our kids have a better life. We love fishing, nature walks and going on long drives.

Experience

Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of the fast-paced and dynamic nature of this role and I have honed essential soft skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making. These skills have enabled me to effectively support teams and thrive in high-pressure environments and excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

In my past and current roles, I was responsible for managing complex schedules of employees and managers, monitoring work performance, preparing detailed reports with metrics for performance appraisals and executive meetings. I consistently demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and attention to details, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Moreover, I have great relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, which allow me to effectively collaborate and communicate with people at all levels of the organization.

Education

 I have a Masters degree in Human Resources Management.
