I've been developing fully scalable software in purely functional & strongly typed languages (Haskell and Purescript) for 3+ years. I have worked professionally with many organizations including The National Film Board, Red Bull, McMaster University and Champlain College.

On my spare time, I am developing Shift -- a programming language intended on teaching programming to teenagers through music. This and more of my projects can be found in the link in my bio. 
 

Co-Coordinator and Media Educator for iCan @ Heritage Regional High School 

• Developed Media Education Curriculum for Grades 7-11 that was adopted by the Head Coordinator for future years 
• Instructed fundamental concepts of programming, art/media, and aesthetics through digital art creation and exploration with over 100 students per year 
• Delegated tasks to new teachers and successfully implemented team strategies

Front End Developer | Research Assistant @ McMaster University

• Developed front end elements for Estuary - A browser based live coding platform for remote music collaboration
• Constructed fully scalable widgets in Haskell using the Reflex engine
• Compiled all work to javascript using GHCJS to implement into browser based interface

• Created a coding language intended on teaching programming to students and tech-newcomers using music
• Fully Scalable: using Purescript to prioritize strongly typed purely functional code that can be compiled to javascript

• Acted as an AI Consultant for the project 'Walking Bread' with the aim of developing a sustainable production pipeline for implementing AI (DAIN & CLIP) in artist's current and future projects 
• Modeled 3D environments & tracked camera motion in Blender
• Scripted Custom Shaders 
• Collaborated with the production team to establish an efficient production pipeline for the project

• Developed four unique courses strongly focused on the arts and contemporary social issues in Canada while following educational policy
• Taught, graded, and provided feedback for over 200 students
• Redesigned the "Web and FX: From Theory to Practice" course to meet current media education trends
