Nicole Carter

I am a fourth year Life Science student at Queen's University. I am currently the Co-chair for the club Student For Wishes, an extension of Make a Wish Foundation Canada. My previous work experience in restaurants and pharmacy have allowed me to gain skills in communication, teamwork, and discipline. I want to expand my skills in areas of service work. I believe I can be a good value to a team as I am a fast learn, can work easily under pressure, and communicate within a team efficiently. 

My previous work experience in a Pharmacy allowed me to communicate and work under pressure while filling prescription, answering patient questions, answering phones, and completing speciality compounds under direction of my pharmacist. This work has broaden my ability to multitask with patients and completing scripts, allowing me to enhance organization. 

My work experience at The Porch Toronto challenged me as I worked as senior server through various venues within the company. I was able to communicate with managers, customers, and event planners for company events. The skills of communication and working with a team to split responsibilities has encouraged to seek opportunities to collaborate more in team environments. 

I am a fourth year student at Queen's University, completing a Bachelors of Science Honours in Life Science. Over the last 3 years, I have studied human sciences, branching out in courses of environmental science, psychology, and global development. I have completing labs, encouraging skills of responsibility, teamwork, and efficiency to complete my work on time and accurately.
