I am a chemistry professional with with over 15 years of experience in laboratory operations, analytical chemistry, and chemical safety. Experienced in developing, validating, and performing experiments using advanced instrumentation including chromatography, spectroscopy, & microscopy. Proficient in method development, validation & transfer, as well as laboratory management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

I have a diverse background of chemical laboratory experience ranging from  over 15 years of cumulative experience working in chemical labs in roles ranging from being a  laboratory technician, laboratory analyst, and QA/QC technician. I am well versed in working in accredited laboratories (including GLP, GMP, and ISO/IEC 17025). I am a quick learner and am able to work in cross-disciplinary environments. 

My most recent position is Senior Laboratory Technician & Laboratory Instructor at Cestar College of Business, Health and Technology in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I manage the chemical lab on a day to day basis including procuring supplies, manage chemical inventories & chemical waste storage. I am also responsible for the operation and maintenance of multiple analytical devices including GC, MS, HPLC, ICP-OES, UV-Vis and IR spectrometers.

My most recent completed studies was a masters of applied science in mechanical and mechatronics engineering with a specialization in nanomaterials and science at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. My thesis project involved the synthesis of zero valent metal nanoparticles and studying the radiation emitted during laser heating and subsequent cooling to develop mathematical models to determine the metallic nanoparticle size and size distribution of the samples.
