Operations research for decision-making in supply chain management
○ Worked on Optimizing the picking process in modern picker-to-good warehouses
○ Modeled a variety of planning problems that consider new warehousing strategies
○ Developed sophisticated methods (exact and heuristic) to solve these problems
○ Provided managerial insights on the effectiveness of the considered strategies.

2016 Engineer Intern

Worked on the energy optimization (electricity costs) of a manufacturing plant that produces
electrical cabinets
○ Modeled a complex production scheduling problem using MILP formulations
○ Implemented the proposed formulations using an off-the-shelf solver (Java & Cplex)
○ Conducted experiments on real-data that showed a 10% potential reduction in the electricity
bill
