Experience

I have broad experience in marketing, copywriting, e-mail campaigns, social media, technical writing, and proposal writing. This includes working for large technological corporations (Corel, IBM) as well as for small and medium enterprises in addition to grassroots not-for-profit entities (Kind Space). Across these roles, I have developed core competencies in drafting, editing, content development, project management, resource allocations, testing, and communications. In addition, I have also enhanced my administrative, operational, and team leadership abilities, working closely with multiple levels of key stakeholders and other professionals.

I am technically proficient, excel at oral and written communications, can effectively manage projects, and can act with diplomacy and tact. I also know the value of organization, am detail-oriented, and consider myself to be a team player with job-specific experience as well as a broad foundation in innovation, efficiency, and leadership. With a background in technical writing, I am confident in my ability to take complex information and distill it down into more accessible language

Education

Graduate of Algonquin College’s Technical Writer program. 

Some demonstrations of my knowledge in technical writing include but are not limited to:

●  Created an Instructional design plan on Adobe DreamWeaver

●  Hosted a tutorial on how to create a basic website on Adobe DreamWeaver

●  Using Balsamiq to create wireframe/prototypes

●  Creating a business shell plan for a group of engineers who created an irrigation gun prototype

Due to my related coursework, I am already proficient in a number of Microsoft Office Suite tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Publisher. Amongst the tools being taught are Camtasia, Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Project, WordPress, and MadCap Flare. I also have experience in UX/UI design. I have worked on a variety of tasks such as creating Wikis using Pbworks, Gantt Charts, project schedules, writing White papers, learning about RFPs, and creating proposals.
