I have 15 years as a Payroll Administrator in a great many organizations. In these roles, I was responsible for a number of key accountabilities including payroll administration for hundreds of employees, timely maintenance of payouts, coordination with human resources and benefits and pension, and attending to the needs of employees in resolving their payroll inquiries and issues. I am a great communicator, am great with numbers and people, and keep outstanding records.

• Administered full-cycle payroll for 500 hourly and salary employees
• Implementation of payroll system from Blaeberry to ADP
• Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration benefits such as pension plans, leaves, employment and medical insurance
• Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, WCB and MPP year end reconciliation, records of employments and other statements, and year end audits for payroll and WCB
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and collective agreements for the three unions, BC Nurses Union (BCNU), Hospital Employees Union (HEU) and Health Science Association (HSA)
• Compile, review and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts and sick leave taken
•  Served as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering union contracts and company policy and helping to resolve the payroll-related problems
• Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
• Collaborating with HR department for payroll related matters such as new hires, terminations, benefits and change of status
• Established and implemented written procedures for payroll workflow as needed
• Kept abreast of changes in provincial and federal laws, including tax deductions and ensured that the payroll environment and system is in compliance with them
