About Omar Rezk:

I'm a focused and hard working software engineer experienced in building full stack applications using React and Node. I have been working extensively using programming languages including, but not limited to, JavaScript and Python. My journey is always evolving by challenging myself through problem solving, breaking down complex projects into manageable pieces and developing efficient solutions to solve them. Furthermore, I enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and educating myself on the gaps in the market to work on meaningful projects that would contribute to the industry.

Experience

  • Designed a server using Express.js to modularize server-side logic through the use of middleware functions.
  • Created a functionable website, using React, capable of re-rendering components through the virtual DOM.
  • Developed server functionality with Node.js using React that enables both the client and server to  be developed through JavaScript.
  • Led a team in implementing an efficient git flow, resolved conflicts and helped debug issues.
  • Adopted an Agile/Scrum methodology, using Jira as a collaborative platform, resulting in increasing the efficiency of product development.
  • Developed responsive web applications across all platforms resulting in improved code structure, maintainability and scalability.
  • Implemented BEM principles when creating CSS classes for web pages, and utilized Flexbox to achieve optimal layout control.
  • Leveraged APIs, using Axios and ThunderClient, to extract JSON data and integrate  it consistently into web pages and browser applications.
