I am a certified Journeyman Welder and experienced instructor with over 20 years of expertise in welding, metal fabrication, and education. Throughout my career, I have refined my skills in various welding processes and techniques, while also fostering a strong passion for teaching and mentoring future trades professionals. With a solid background in both practical and theoretical instruction, I strive to create an engaging, safe, and learner-centered environment where students can excel and prepare for success in the evolving trades industry. My leadership and commitment to industry standards ensure high-quality outcomes in both education and fabrication.

 With over 20 years of industry experience, I have held multiple roles in welding, fabrication, and instruction. As a Welder Fitter/Foreman at Cult Iron Works, I supervised teams, coordinated shop activities, and performed various welding processes on structural components. My responsibilities included reading blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring safety protocols. I also worked as a Welder for Vic Priestly Contracting and Clean Air Technologies, focusing on equipment repairs and metal fabrication.

Additionally, I have extensive experience as a Welding Instructor at Breadnut Valley Engineering Institute and Central High School, where I trained students in welding processes, developed curricula, and provided hands-on demonstrations, ensuring students' safety and skill development.

 In July 2023, I earned my Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) Certification, specializing in Technological Education for Manufacturing Technology. I also hold a Certified Journeyman Welder designation from Alberta, achieved in March 2015. My previous qualifications include a National Vocational Qualification of Jamaica (NVQ-J) in Welding (Levels 2 & 3) completed between 2011 and 2014, as well as a Bachelor of Education in Industrial Technology (Mechanical) from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
