About Pratima Dhungana:
I am a recent graduate of the Social Service Worker program at Georgian College with a professional background as a pharmacy technician. My experience in both health and social service sectors has equipped me with a well-rounded perspective on supporting individuals’ overall well-being. Originally from Nepal and now based in Canada, I bring cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a strong commitment to community service. During my field placement at Big Brothers Big Sisters, I worked directly with children and youth, providing mentorship and emotional support in school settings. I am passionate about advocating for vulnerable populations, promoting mental health, and helping people access the resources they need to thrive. I am now seeking opportunities where I can combine my healthcare knowledge and social service skills to make a meaningful impact.

I have a diverse professional background that combines healthcare and social services. I previously worked as a pharmacy technician in Nepal, where I developed strong skills in patient care, medication management, and health education. More recently, I completed the Social Service Worker program at Georgian College, including a field placement with Big Brothers Big Sisters, where I provided mentorship and emotional support to children and youth. My experience has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, advocate for clients, and promote overall well-being across different populations.

I recently graduated from the Social Service Worker program at Georgian College, where I gained in-depth knowledge of counseling techniques, mental health, human rights, and community advocacy. As part of the program, I completed a hands-on field placement with Big Brothers Big Sisters, supporting children and youth through mentorship. Prior to this, I earned a three-year diploma in Pharmacy from Nepal, which provided me with a strong foundation in healthcare, client communication, and ethical practice.
