Priyanka Shekhawat

I am an IT Recruitment Consultant with Recruiting in Motion, a staffing agency in Canada since August 2022. I mostly recruit in IT for roles such as developers, system engineers, DevOps, AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and network engineers, among others.  

I've over 12+ years of professional experience. After my bachelor's in journalism, I joined Apatra, the world's renowned digital publishing agency, as a trainee content writer and editor. From there on, I spent 5 years as a Research Analyst in IHS (now S&P), one of the top global business intelligence firms, tracking the global automotive markets. 

I moved to Southeast Asia in 2014 and began working as a Marketing Content Developer for a local marketing research and consulting company. There, I was introduced to Hermawan Kartajaya, a co-author of several marketing books with Philip Kotler. Under their mentorship, I contributed to two marketing books published by World Scientific Singapore. 

I came to Canada in 2022 to pursue my master's in Business Administration, with a double specialization in marketing and HR from Vancouver. Working as a Recruitment consultant has been deeply rewarding for me as a career choice. Not only do I utilize and hone my communication skills, but my marketing acumen helps me to better ‘market’ the roles to candidates and otherwise. Ultimately, there's no better feeling than being a facilitator of matching deserving candidates with their dream jobs - that's truly enriching for me.
