- I was also tasked with compiling multiple ‘Learning Reports’ each semester; reflective presentations for my building staff team based on the feedback and assessment taken from my programming. I was tasked with utilizing various assessment techniques to evaluate the learning outcomes of my programming, the ‘Learning Report’ a professional assessment of my findings.
History Learning Community Residence Life Don | Wilfrid Laurier University| February 2019-April 2020
- In this role, I implemented history based programming to a first year residence floor of 10 students to encourage their academic growth and curiosity within the subject of history. My programming focused on developing their self-awareness, community participation, and life skills. I helped organize and facilitate a field trip (local museum), guest lectures (History professor from Laurier), and other activities.
- I helped coordinate the academic goals of the first year community through the creation and coordination ofpersonal development plans for students and one-on-one academic and transitional support. Guidance was also offered in the form of study sessions and intentional conversations called ‘Hawk Talks’ to discuss and work through challenges and opportunities.
- I helped enforce residence and university policies and procedures on a daily basis to ensure a safe living and learning environment.
Hockey Referee| Milton Referee’s Association| September 2013-April 2020
- I officiated minor league hockey for 7 years, enforcing league rules and protocols for players between the ages of 7-17.
- The recognition of my leadership skills awarded me the opportunity to officiate several minor league championship games amongst players ranging from the ages of 7-17.
