About Rylan Oates:

I am currently completing my Class 4 Power Engineering training through NAIT and am actively seeking an opportunity to gain steam time in an industrial setting toward completion of my certification and progression to my Class 3.
Through my coursework, I have developed a strong understanding of:
• Boiler and pressure systems
• Steam plant operations
• Safety regulations and code compliance
• Equipment maintenance and system integrity
In addition to my academic training, I bring a solid mechanical background as an Automotive Service Technician, with hands-on experience in:
• Preventative maintenance
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Hydraulic and air systems
• Strict adherence to OH&S standards
• Maintaining clean, organized, and safety-focused work environments
My goal is to begin as a student, demonstrate reliability and work ethic, and grow within a safety-driven, team-oriented operation. I am eager to learn from experienced operators, participate in daily plant operations and walkdowns, and develop the practical judgment required to become a dependable Power Engineer.
If anyone is aware of student or entry-level opportunities where I can obtain steam time, I would greatly appreciate a connection or referral.
Thank you for your time and support.
