Sarthak Ghosh

My name is Sarthak Ghosh. I’m a 1st year MBA student at Schulich School of Business, Toronto, Canada. I have a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from India. Before joining the MBA course, I was working for IBM for more than 5 years. I worked there in two different verticals - IBM consulting & then India Software Labs. The last role I held was as a DevOps Developer as a Team leads for a Financial Crimes Insights project in which I worked with the management team to establish a roadmap of the project, create strategies and manage resources for the project lifecycle.  

• I am a data-oriented, analytical person. I believe this comes from my previous education and work experience. And in general, also, I prefer using facts and figures to make my decisions.
• Secondly, I love to collaborate with people and I consider that as one of my strengths. I have worked with teams consisting of 30+ people spread across the globe, be it US, UK, or Japan. I prefer to work with people to brainstorm ideas or find solutions so that I can get different perspectives on an issue.
• And finally, I would say, I am quite versatile. I have performed different roles at my last organization, be it UI/UX, backend development, or DevOps as well as used my soft skills to communicate with clients, leadership teams and my colleagues.

I am passionate about analytics and technology and I believe these two things combined are the future for any organization to grow their businesses further. I am a highly trained professional with excellent communication skills who can address any subject with a diverse variety of individuals and organizations. I have an eye for detail and the ability to write high-quality material under tight deadlines while keeping the target audience in mind. I am a well-organized team player who can execute a variety of jobs independently while also efficiently contributing to a team effort. My competitive and proactive personality leads me to strive for perfection in all that I do. I am proficient in English and dedicated to producing excellent outcomes in whatever assignment I do. I'm a tech-savvy individual that can quickly learn and apply new technologies while also passing on my expertise to the team.

5 years of expertise designing enterprise products & strategies to create robust and effective solutions. Adept in data analysis, automation, visualization and deployment. Bridged the IT-Business gap by identifying opportunities, evaluating current procedures, & meeting resource requests to create results that drive decision-making & meet business objectives. 

I have 4 promotions in 5 years as a result of high performance and was bestowed with the “Outstanding Technical Achievement Award - FY 2019” for my contributions to IBM projects

I have substantial project management expertise, having used a number of PM technologies and tools to enable high-quality project delivery. My adaptive approach enables me to tailor my approach to the unique requirements of each project, and I have successfully completed difficult commercial initiatives while working with international clients. I've worked with Project Managers to track and update project progress, manage scope, restrictions, problems, assumptions, dependencies, and deadlines, and efficiently manage project teams while keeping expenses and sales objectives in mind. I've also worked on complicated reports providing critical project information, presenting solutions to clients, and contributing to client bids and quotations.

I'm currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto, Canada. I have completed my 1st year of the program successfully. My tentative graduation date is in April 2024.
