Worked on Cell C Projects (Telecommunication) with Transunion & XDS Credit Bureau’s, namely 1. BCC Score card, 2. Policy filter decline, 3. Decision Edge Migration, 4. XDS Integration/Authentication 5. Credit Score Referral Override, 6. XDS Switch and 7. Financial Projects and API/POS testing.

Technically proficient with an excellent experience in requirement gathering and Functional Testing (Functional, Integration, System, Sanity, Boundary Testing, and Regression, User acceptance Testing, Data Integrity, Maintenance, User Experience Testing, Accessibility and Documentation) of web-based Applications, applying best Test Techniques and focusing on QA.

I have completed Bachelor of Engineering from University of Madras.

Credentials evaluated by World Education Services - WES Canada as Recognized Bachelor’s degree (four years).

Also completed ISEB Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing, ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing and ISTQB Advanced Level Certificate in Software Testing.

In addition to my technical skills, I am particularly strong in communicating throughout the development and implementation process using my excellent written and verbal communication skills, to maximize engagement and understanding. I recognize the importance of being a strong team player and leader when it comes to forging a solution with developers and liaising with clients. I also possess excellent time management and task prioritization skills, in addition I am very Quick Learner and grasp/work on new systems/products easily without any hiccups, I am also Self-motivated and have Go-Getter Mindset.

Experience: 

  • Proactive and resourceful IT professional with 13 years of experience in QA Software Testing. Currently, associated as a Senior Test Analyst/Test Lead with iLAB Quality, South Africa.
  • Possess exceptional skills in Functional Testing (Integration, System, Sanity, Boundary Testing, Regression, User acceptance/API Testing, Maintenance, and Documentation) & Manual Testing of Web Based Applications using POD / Agile / Waterfall & V Model Methodologies.
  • Experience in creating Test Plans, Test Case Preparation, Test Execution, Applying best Test Techniques and Defect Logging Cycle.
Accountabilities
  • Involved in gathering functional requirements specification and business requirements specification in each release of the application
  • Use POD agile model methodology
  • Develop tests based on User Stories etc. and Start functionality and integration tests as soon as developers finish working on them
  • Report bugs when they appear. After the release of fixes, retesting functionality and application.
  • Assisting in preparing test plan
  • Assigning testing task/requirements to test resources
  • Leading Test Effort for Change Requests/New Products and Promotions on daily basis
  • Involved in the preparation of test cases based on functional specifications and business requirements for different modules
  • Apply best Test Technique to cater for the requirement/scenarios
  • Prioritizing and sequencing test cases in HP ALM
  • Maintaining and documenting the test cases and test plan using HP ALM

Performing Sanity testing before accepting the build for End to End testing

  • Identifying bugs, maintaining severity of those bugs and reporting back to the development team, using HP ALM
  • Involved in retesting and regression test for the bugs which are fixed by developers
  • Performing 
    • regression testing for all the features of the site
    • system testing, integration testing, regression testing, functional testing and user acceptance testing
  • Involved in Test data management, assigning test data to resources, manual verification of actual results with expected results
  • Interacted with developers, QA Analyst and project managers to ensure that the application is tested according to the user and business community
  • Prepare Training Manuals/Provide screen shots for the projects
  • Involved in 
    • UAT sessions with Business owners
    • Prepare User/Training Manuals
    • Implementation of system for Go live and do Post implementation testing
    • Project Closure Report
