Sheri Thomas-De Muzio

I am a recent graduate of Durham College with a diploma in 911 Emergency and Call Centre Communications. Within my career and schooling, I have demonstrated the ability to be an empathetic listener who is able to demonstrate the ability to identify, and practice both crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques.

• Over my career and volunteer services I have gained the following experience:
• Act as the primary point of contact from police, fire, hospital, office of emergency management, and victim services that are reporting such incidents as and not limited to fire, flood, evacuation, terrorist attacks or situational awareness
• Demonstrate strategies and behaviors including valuing diversity to ensure positive customer interactions
• Demonstrate punctuality, integrity, and reliability
• Demonstrate the ability to identify, and practice both crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques
• Demonstrate the ability to use accurate terminology, professional oral and written communication strategies in a calm manner
• Register displaced/victims in large scale response and provide Provincial Duty Officer support with messaging and communications with community partners
• Act as first point of contact for customer service, responding to inquiries in person, over the phone and via e-mail
• Adhere to company policies 
• Maintaining accurate records
