About Shiona Robertson:
Child, Youth and Adult Counsellor, RP (Qualifying), member of OACYC
Experience
Currently, I have a private practice where I have worked under the Supervision of Colleen Kamps. I work with children and youth who experience difficulties with their mental well-being, often because of trauma. I also work with children and youth who have been diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders. I am an Associate at Geraldine Crisci and Associates. I am a part-time lecturer and Centennial College in the Child and Youth Care program. I am a trauma and attachment consultant to a day treatment program in Toronto.
I have worked in the field of child and youth care and social work for approximately 20 years, initially as an unqualified worker before completing a BSW. I have varied experience from managing live-in treatment services, case management in child welfare, to clinical counselling.
Education
I complete a Master's in Counselling Psychology on December 17, 2021 from Yorkville University. I graduated with a Bachelor in Social Work from the University of Dundee in 2005. I have completed several different counselling based intervention training including a Trauma Assessment and Treatment program.
