● Creating a dashboard for educators to create courses and upload course material that will be used to train a neural network using PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS 

● Extracting text from PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and MP3 files using Python to create our corpus for natural language processing  

Research Assistant, Intelligent Education Systems [Contract] Sep 2021 - Aug 2023

● Integrated multi-armed bandit reinforcement learning algorithms to Adaptive QuizMaster, a web application, using JavaScript, NodeJS, ExpressJS, and MongoDB 

● LTI-enabled Adaptive QuizMaster to be connected with any Learning Management System such as Moodle, Canvas, etc. 

● Simulated the performance of a novel multi-armed bandit algorithm, TTTS-T3C, in detecting student learning weaknesses for a conference publication using Python 

● Implemented the TTTS-T3C multi-armed bandit reinforcement learning algorithm to Adaptive QuizMaster to detect student learning weaknesses 

● Aided in converting Adaptive QuizMaster from a server side rendering application to a single page application using ReactJS 

Senior Research Assistant, IDEA Lab [Contract] Oct 2022 - Feb 2023 

● Automated data cleaning for a Canada-wide nursing genomics study with over 1500 participants using Python to under a minute 

● Visualized data from this study to be used in presentations, conference, and journal papers 

● Configured and deployed an experimental REDCap instance for testing and research purposes on an AWS EC2 instance using PHP and MySQL 

Research Assistant, IDEA Lab [Contract] Apr 2022 - Dec 2022 

● Created a dashboard that allows users to start topic modeling jobs, manage topic modeling jobs, and view the results from topic modeling jobs using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
