Hi, I’m Surbhi, a communications enthusiast with a background in journalism, broadcasting, and public relations. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, a postgraduate diploma in Broadcasting Performance and Digital Media, and I have also done a postgraduate diploma in Public Relations – Integrated Communications at Conestoga College.

I’ve worked as a news reporter for South Asia 24x7, and I’ve been part of exciting projects like the short film “Sweet Invitation,” live reporting assignments, podcast and camera operations, and managing social media accounts. I’m also the student representative on the Program Advisory Committee (PAC), where I help bring student feedback forward to improve the program.

Right now, I’m based in Woodstock, Ontario, and looking to grow my career in Canada. I’m especially interested in opportunities related to PR, media, and strategic communications. I love storytelling, building connections, and finding creative ways to share messages that matter.

I have professional experience in journalism, broadcasting, and public relations. I worked as a news reporter for South Asia 24x7, where I covered current events and developed strong storytelling and on-camera skills. My postgraduate studies enhanced my experience with live reporting, podcasting, camera operation, and digital media production. I’ve also contributed to creative projects like short films and PR capstone campaigns, where I managed content creation and social media. In addition, I’ve held customer service roles, including working at Tim Hortons, which strengthened my communication and multitasking abilities. I currently serve as a student representative on the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) at Conestoga College, contributing to program development based on student feedback

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, along with two completed postgraduate diplomas from Conestoga College: one in Broadcasting Performance and Digital Media (2023–2024) and another in Public Relations – Integrated Communications (2024–2025). These programs gave me hands-on experience in media production, live reporting, strategic communication, social media, and campaign planning, building a strong foundation for a career in communications and public relations.
