About Tammy Breen:

I am a seasoned MOA with almost 2 decades of Medical Office experience, with a specialized focus in medical billing. I have an advanced knowledge of Accuro, and would love an opportunity to learn specialized hospital billing.

I am a mom of a 26 year old daughter and a 24 year old son. I enjoy being in the garden when the weather is nice and cozied up to a fire with a crochet project when its cold and blizzarding out. I recently took up quilting, teaching myself from YouTube videos. I also love to create with my cricut.

I decided to get my MOA diploma in 2009, but had been working in the field before obtaining my education, so I knew that this where I wanted to be. I am a people pleaser by nature and is the main reason I decided to choose this career. Helping people puts a smile on my face, and theirs too! That warm fuzzy feeling is important to me, knowing I made someone's day a little bit easier.

I feel I would make a perfect addition to any office setting, I'm approachable and dependable, my team mates can rely on me. I'd like to work for a company that recognizes their good people and provides support in advancement and finetuning skills. 

Experience

I believe I can bring a solid foundation of experience, leadership, and professional integrity to this role. I focus on the details, dotting my “i’s” and crossing my ‘t’s”.

In my previous roles I developed a strong skill set in office administration/support and data entry skills. In my position as a Personal Care Specialist at AbbVie Care, I have developed and maintained a consistent track record of achieving organizational and individual goals, such as obtaining an above standard KIP goal, a high standard of data entry skills, as well as efficiently taking calls from the queue. I spent a lot of my day communicating with Insurance benefit plans to provide the best assistance to my patient with helping them navigate their benefits to get the right information for the program. Doing this all from my home office. For the last 14 years I have been the billing and booking coordinator for a physician managing his nursing home practice, AHS billing submissions and reconciliations, all booking and billing tasks, also from home about 40-50 hours a month.

My position at Riley Park Family Practice I supervised 10-15, likeminded peers, assisted with manager duties as required. My 4 years with Ranchman’s Cookhouse and Dance Hall as Beverage and Purchasing Manager; managing all aspects of liquor movement and purchasing and management of bar staff. Cashier at Superstore and Safeway, as well as Sandwich Artist at Subway. I also drove a school bus when my kids were little so I could take them to work with me. I have a very well rounded set of skills, and I am trainable to do almost anything.

I worked in podiatry - casting orthotics, assisting with surgical procedures, all aspects of managing the office
I worked in Dermatology - Woo and Campbell - I was trained to assist with liposuction and hair transplants. as well as dermatological procedures such as treating warts. 
 

Education

2009 obtained a MOA diploma from ICS, International Career School. Completed completely online graduating with a 94%
