Project 1: to determine the role of histone modifications, dynamic histone acetylation and epigenetic regulators in maintaining the open chromatin structure and transcribed genes using human cell lines and animal model systems. Bioinformatic analyses of sequencing data will be applied as required in this task. Experienced in data analysis using galaxy, partek and lab established pipeline in ubuntu and R.
Project 2: to identify the genes which are differentially regulated in the presence of mitogen- and stress-activated protein kinase (MSK) inhibitors in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. The TNFα-induced and MSK-dependent transcriptome of normal and TNBC cells will be elucidated using RNA sequencing.
Project 3: to determine which genes are attenuated in normal mouse and human fibroblasts and determining the role of PRDX1 in regulating gene expression in breast cancer.
Project 4: to develop AI-driven novel tools that predict functional chromatin state from pre-existing as well as in-house epigenetic dataset.
