Tianna Whitfield

My name is Tianna Whitfield, and I am enrolled in the University of Regina's Bachelor of Social Work program. I am writing an application for a social work student position with your agency or organization. With six years of experience in human services working with children, teens, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities, as well as understanding of counselling techniques and culturally-informed practices, I am confident in my capability to assist individuals and communities. I am now in my last year of a Bachelor of Social Work program at the University of Regina. After completing all program requirements by April 2025, I will be eligible for regular membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW).

Given the abilities I have, I believe I would be a significant addition to your team. My education and job experiences have equipped me with knowledge and abilities in group and individual care, teamwork, and facilitation. My best abilities are leadership, interpersonal communication, advanced writing, and the ability to engage successfully with coworkers and clients. My ability to lead helps my creative side to flourish while planning, organizing, and arranging programs and activities. My interpersonal communication leads to the development of solid professional connections with clients and coworkers. Building real relationships with clients and coworkers helps me to demonstrate a strong depth and grasp of the necessity of recognizing the individual's unique needs. I have demonstrated my ability to work effectively with clients from varied backgrounds and remain calm in difficult situations. While having strong writing skills allows me to evaluate information objectively.
