About Vamsi Chennabathni:
I’m a Mechatronics Engineer intrigued by the challenge of building excellent machines which have the potential to make everyday life better. This necessitates extensive understanding of several engineering domains from electronics, mechanical to computers. Throughout my seven years of work experience in have had the pleasure of working in different engineering domains like IoT, Aerostructures, and Avionics.
Experience
My professional journey took off with Cyient, as a design engineer, to concept and realize electro-mechanical systems, where I worked on a flight controller system for a semi-autonomous UAV to visually inspect power lines. A dive into the world of engineering from here on evoked unbounded excitement/ecstatic towards the field. I briefly also got involved in design, process planning and inspecting first articles of some of the thousands of parts and assemblies that go into the BA 7000/8000, a private jet of the commercial airliner, Bombardier.
To set on a deeper understanding I pursued a post-graduate degree in Robotics and Automation. This helped me fill the gaps of my knowledge and eventually led me into working a hardware design intensive job as a Mechatronics Researcher at Centennial Applied Research & Innovation Lab, where I worked on composing an electronic control system for a landing gear, an effort to replace legacy hydraulic control systems by a leading Avionics company named Safran landing systems. I was introduced to the intricacies of FPGA’s hardware description and its constituent languages working under stringent aerospace regulations.
With all this experience in hand, I stepped out and into a more consumer-based market, Internet of Things (IoT), to build everyday smart things for Reliance Foundry. My skills met their match, with the complexities involved in cellular technology in their products. I was involved in hardware and software development of some of the niche remote sensing applications like tide level monitoring and vibration detection. Something very elegant I got to learn here is to write well-structured firmware for energy conscious microprocessors.
I believe in a world with smarter technologies to solve real life problems and always would be happy getting involved in such projects. Please reach out if you're interested to connect!

Education
I have a been a part of PGDM at Centennial College to pursue the ever-exciting field of Robotics and Automation to build smart machines of the future. This helped me tinker with all the technologies, breaking things to see what they are made of to build them back up
