Project Engineer with a passion for learning new skills. Currently working as a Software Developer, schooled in Mechanical Engineering with most professional experience in Project Engineering. Excited to use my project management, software, sustainability and business expertise to push the energy industry forward and turn my next role into a long-term career opportunity.

I developed comprehensive project engineering skills working at Kiewit Energy for nearly 2 years. Starting with the Material Controls team, I managed supply chain networks to procure permanent material for oil and gas projects over $500 million. I advanced through roles with increasing responsibility after a brief field assignment as a Piping Engineer. The project was running behind schedule and office personnel were tasked to support field engineering. I demonstrated an exceptional ability to execute scope of work to senior engineers and managers using a hard work ethic derived from past field experience, strong analytical skills, and leadership qualities directly contributing to the project completing on schedule. I continued to develop the technical and soft skills required to be a top Project Engineer while executing various exciting projects including in commissioning and the oil and gas sector. Unfortunately, shift work and field rotations required to stay at Kiewit did not align with my personal goals.

In addition to my project engineering experience, I have extensive experience in oil and gas including working at Cenovus Energy. While a Student Field Engineer for 4 months, I learned solid fundamentals of oil and gas production, facilities, and project execution. I was part of Cenovus Energy's Heavy Oil Reservoir team at Pelican Lake as a Student Reservoir Engineer for the next 4 months where I developed a strong understanding of reservoir science, geology, Cenovus's extensive safety culture, and SAGD and heavy oil production best practices. As a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training at Preston Phipps for over a year, I gained thorough design experience refurbishing mechanical systems at Suncor’s Base Plant, performing engineering calculations, developing piping specifications and engineering documentation. I also worked for CarbonCure on the engineering team delivering less carbon-intensive concrete to market for nearly a year.
