About Vivian Wong:

After spending the past 10 years in Asia, I have recently moved back to North America - Canada. I initially made the decision to move to Asia after college in Washington State, attracted by the growing tech industry in the region. However, the global pandemic and the desire for personal and career growth in North America prompted my return.

Over the past decade, I have accumulated experience in sales and account management within the travel tech industry. I have worked for prominent companies such as Expedia, Agoda (a Booking Holdings company), and most recently, Klook, a travel tech unicorn startup. At Klook, I held a sales operations role, where I leveraged my insights from different sales organisations to build a growth structure for the sales team. I reported to the CCO, honing my communication and presentation skills to senior management. I also enjoyed the opportunity to recruit and expand my teams.

Looking ahead, I is seeking a leadership role that aligns with sales organisation/operations and strategy. I aspire to become a sales organization leader and particularly appreciate the B2B2C business model and enjoy observing user and business behaviours in a constantly changing environment.

Klook, Hong Kong HQ - Associate Director, Business Development - Hotel (HKMO & Global Chains) & Local Leisure (F&B)

SEPT 2020 - DEC 2022

●  Created and coached a team of 4 BD managers and 4 associates to expand supply coverage, drive promotional campaigns and build relationships with industry partners including hotel groups, tourism boards, F&B Chains, Shopping mall management company etc.

●  Continuously expanded new partnerships and hitting $3.5M USD GMV monthly with an avg 15% MoM growth

●  Analyzed market data to identify and set acquisition strategy, complementary business models, goals and implementation

tactics. Acquired 50% of hotel market supply in 6 months when kick started the new team.

●  Lead and acquired global commercial contracts with key hotel chains such as IHG, Hyatt, Shangri-La; exclusive products

negotiations and marketing fund deals

●  Prepared and presented headcount and target planning to owners and management team. Team capacity expanded 166% in

1 year with consistent revenue growth.

Klook, Hong Kong HQ - Associate Director, Global Sales Operations

APR 2019 - SEP 2020

●  Reported to CCO and responsible for streamlining sales process, building tools and analyzing data to ensure sales teams operates eciently

●  Hired, trained and managed a team of 20 (5 direct & 15 2nd tier reports) merchant support agents and implemented Zendesk ticketing system to process sales teams’ of 180 daily operational requests including contracting, product onboarding etc centrally

●  Created and mentored a team of 5 to optimize sales operations process, implement new CRM systems (Kissflow & Salesforce) to automate contracts/cost approval to maintain and monitor deals quality; enhance communication between internal teams (sales,legal,finance etc)

●  Created and designed highly ecient sales dashboards on Tableau and Looker Studio and tracking initiatives to monitor global sales team performances, project results; pivot and adjust promptly to capture maximize opportunity

●  Launched LMS (Workday) and Zendesk knowledge base to create self-learning program, searchable sales materials repository for continuous learning for the supply organization

Agoda (Booking Holdings Inc.), Hong Kong - Senior Key Account Manager, Greater China

●  Built and maintained a proactive relationship with all key stakeholders within the hotel chains accounts including IHG, Marriott, Hyatt, The Peninsula etc.

●  Developed account plans to optimize hotel performances in dierent markets, increased product adoption and generated marketing spend on Agoda platform. Acquired IHG marketing spending of $150K USD in the first month of product launch

●  Owned and lead cross departments products including marketing, partnership, products to capture new opportunities and

ensure the team is always at the forefront of market intelligence and technical developments

●  Mentored 3 key account managers in deals negotiation and market sales teams collaboration strategy

Travelclick Inc. (an Amadeus Company pioneer in hotel software) - Regional Account Manager, North Asia

●  Managed a portfolio of 80 clients locate in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Mainland China and South Korea; act as a consultant to guide clients to maximize revenue potential via dierent distribution mix and utilization of Travelclick products

●  Supported APAC contract renewals at 87% renewal rate and new product spending through continuous optimizations, bundle conversions, up-sell/ cross-sell, campaign management and lead generation of the assigned portfolio

●  Responsible for all customer communications, conflict resolution, demonstrated knowledge of each resource and product to evaluate recommendations before presenting to clients

●  Remained up to date on most updated news and technology and assessed the potential impact of industry events/trends on the client’s business. Communicated with the tech and product team and drove beta product projects with potential clients.

Expedia Group, Hong Kong - Strategic Account Manager, Global Partner Group

●  Owned all Chains accounts for the Greater China region including the world’s biggest hotel groups Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, The Langham, The Peninsula etc. Worked with high levels of internal and external partners to develop revenue optimization plans, managed multiple projects driving new strategies and rolled out of agreements

●  Managed the entire Macau market including the biggest Casino hotel groups Sands China, Melco Crown, Wynn, CTS MAcau etc. Analyzed data to identify trends and ensure business needs. Presented relevant and insightful analysis and implemented action plans with markets based on analysis

●  Organized and presented in partner events on market trends, Expedia’s brands performance, various Expedia tools and opportunities. Presented in Marriott’s Greater China annual meeting in Shanghai to educate hoteliers on Expedia’s marketing solutions.
