About William Parry:

I’ve been in the industry since i graduated high school & have acquired RT2, MT2, PT2, XFR1 certification. I’m waiting For my UT2 retest results - only had one part left. 

Experience

I have been working as an NDT Technician at Rivest for over 10 years, during which time I have obtained Level 2 certifications in MT, PT, and RT, as well as Level 1 certification in XRF. I am currently awaiting the results of my UT2 practical exam. Throughout my career, I have worked with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites, and have experience in various industries, such as repairing, manufacturing, and construction. I have also worked with a range of equipment, including handheld and automated inspection devices. My expertise lies in flaw detection, measurement, and characterization using various NDT techniques.

Education

  • Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) course at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT)
  • Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) courses at Canadian Institute for Non-Destructive Evaluation (CINDE)
  • Certified EDO  (CEDO) course at INTEG
  • Currently enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Management program at Athabasca University
