$23 per hour,

The groundskeeper/maintenance technician will keep all equipment in good repair at our Parkland Village community, with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for grounds maintenance including landscaping, pruning, hedging, grass and soil management throughout the Community.
- Comfortable and able to operate the following tools: skid steer, chainsaws, weed eaters, and front platform riding mowers
- Snow removal from roadways and other areas as required.
- Ensuring ongoing communication with your direct manager and informing them of any and all pertinent activities within the Community.
- Ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all equipment
- Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings
- Ensuring ongoing communication with Resort Manager
- Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
- Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
- Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
- Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
- Other duties as required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver's Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Physically fit; ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently;
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills
