Hiring Unit:
Athletics & Recreation

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for running a Muay Thai class as scheduled.

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate activities designed to meet group and personal fitness objectives.
Enthusiastically deliver Muay Thai group classes that are progressive, week to week.
Have a sound knowledge of how to perform Muay Thai activities safely, including use of correct techniques, and educate participants accordingly.
Lead and supervise participants to facilitate their safe participation during Muay Thai classes.
Offer alternate modes of participation (e.g., lower intensity options) for participants with health or physical limitations.
Know, enforce and follow all safety guidelines and understand all emergency protocols.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Emergency/Standard First Aid with CPR C Certification is required
Required martial arts background to deliver and coordinate Muay Thai group classes
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an Englishlanguage university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0
