Garnett Industries Ltd.

is seeking skilled Pipelayers and sewer and water labourers(all roles) to join our team for the busy 2024 Saskatoon construction season.

As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground pipelines reporting to the Superintendent or Foreman.

This is a physically demanding role that requires experience in operating line lasers, hand and power tools, Rod and Level experience would be an asset but not required.

You must have experience laying PVC, HDPE and concrete pipe in the sewer and water industry.

As a labourer you will assist the Pipelayer in installations, perform manual labor operations such as using a shovel to level gravel and dig trenches, use various hand and power tools such as torque wrenches and jumping jack compactors.

General housekeeping duties around the site,set up and take down of site fencing taking direction from the Superintendent or site Foreman.

Training provided for the right individuals with room for advancement.

Full time seasonal 10-12 hour days Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays. Company Health and Dental plan

Rig and operate heavy machinery, such as backhoes to excavate trenches for pipeline installation
Use power tools to cut, fit, and fuse pipes together
Dig trenches manually when necessary
Install pipes according to blueprints and specifications Install Manholes and Catch basins Follow directions and work in a team environment
Test pipelines for leaks and make necessary repairs
Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient workflow
Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear

Experience in rigging and operating heavy equipment, including backhoes and excavators
Proficiency in using power tools for cutting, fitting, and jointing pipes
Ability to read blueprints and follow technical specifications
Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
